Carved Top Solid Body Electric

17

The carved top solid body electric guitars are set neck single-cutaway guitars. They are constructed from a base block of solid mahogany, ash or alder with a figured maple cap. The base model uses a pair of humbuckers, but as with all my electric guitars, they are available with a wide variety of pickups and pickup combinations.

WOODS: The guitar uses a base body block of mahogany, alder, ash, or maple with a carved figured maple top. The neck is mahogany on the mahogany bodied guitar and maple on all others.

STRUCTURAL DETAILS: The neck utilizes an adjustable truss rod with standard carbon fiber reinforcement. One piece or laminated necks are available. The neck is glued into the body. The body is a single cutaway, 12 1/2″ across the lower bout. Other shapes can be arranged if desired at additional cost.

The bolt-on neck solid body electric guitars are kind of an unholy marriage of Leo’s “T” unit and the “Polfuss Jr.”. They are typically built with “T” style bridges but other bridges are optionally available. They are killin’ rock and blues machines that can segue into bop or even cool jazz as the spirit moves you.

WOODS: The guitar uses a body block of ash, alder, butternut, or mahogany. Bodies are also available chambered with a figured wood (typically maple) cap at additional cost. The neck is mahogany on the mahogany bodied guitar and maple on all others.

STRUCTURAL DETAILS: The neck utilizes a two way adjustable truss rod. Two or three piece necks are standard. One piece necks are available at extra cost. The neck is bolted to the body. The body is a single cutaway, 12 1/2” across the lower bout. Other shapes can be arranged at additional cost if desired.

FINISHING: The non-chambered bodies are unbound. The chambered bodies are bound around the top. A variety of pickup configurations are available, with dual humbuckers or “T” style being standard. A single volume and tone control and selector switch are also standard.

Clear, transparent tint, sunburst and opaque finishes are all available. Clear nitrocellulose lacquer is standard.
